Groundwork aims to be the UKs leading regeneration charity, working through partnership to create communities in which people are proud to live and work.  

 

We are seeking experienced Employment Advisors passionate about achieving outcomes to join our team and commence delivery of a new employment programme across Cumbria.  Customer participation in this employment initiative is voluntary and our team will focus on supporting long term unemployed participants to achieve sustained employment through a variety of interventions. 

 

As one of our Employment Advisor you will have experience of effectively engaging and motivating unemployed people, and have a track record of securing positive outcomes for them in a performance environment.  Providing 1:1 support and advice you will have a caseload of unemployed participants and develop tailored individual action plans which tackle their barriers to employment support them to obtain sustainable employment.  This is a busy but rewarding role operating as a member of a friendly and successful team.

 

Salary:       Circa £21,000 per annum (Negotiable dependent upon experience)

Hours:       Full Time, 37 hours per week

Location:   Carlisle/ Workington

 

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional people and communication skills

  • Experience of undertaking caseload management on employability programmes with a sound understanding of barriers to employment.

  • A proven track record in delivering targets

  • IAG Level III or equivalent employment related qualification
