They already have several apprentices within the IT Department and offer excellent career progression through their in house academy. You must be a fast learner with hunger and ambition to increase your knowledge and provide great customer service. You will have a keen understanding of how to assess the priority of an incident, how to troubleshoot a case and when to ask for further assistance. This is a fast-paced working environment so you will need to be confident and calm under pressure. Main duties of the role: Working within the IT Support Team to provide timely and accurate logging of support cases raised by customers by phone and email Maintaining and supporting our internal infrastructure. Managing incidents ensuring regular updates & ensuring Service Level Agreements are met. Resolution of support cases Providing support to the company’s internal users To provide a professional image to the company’s clients at all times Working closely with the companies clients to provide the best service possible & upholding customer satisfaction Desired skills: Excellent IT Skills Knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on MS Server 2008 / 2012 and Windows 7 / 8 / 10 Knowledge of Active Directory (AD) Networking Experience (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi) Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, 2013, 2016 You will be comfortable speaking to clients on the telephone or via email and confident to ask senior team members for assistance in order to ensure customer SLAs are adhered to. You must be able to work to deadlines and adapt priorities according to business needs. Ideally, you will also have had experience in the following technologies: Active directory, Citrix, VMware, Exchange and Veeam. Desired qualification requirements: 3 x GCSE (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject, plus GCSE English and Maths (or equivalents) at grade D or above. Working week: Monday – Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm Salary: £210 a week Future: Great career opportunities will be available on successful completion of the apprenticeship, previous apprentices have gone on to secure full time roles within the company.
