Working within a team to create new and existing solutions according to our target architecture and company standards and policies - Working with colleagues to resolve incidents experienced by our customers - Ensuring knowledge of your work is shared through reviews, documentation and handovers so that others around you can maintain your work into the future - Ensuring you understand the work of your team and can cover for your colleagues, ensuring continuity of delivery within the team at all times - Developing solutions with build and test automation baked in – making continuous delivery a reality across all areas of our platform - Applying our Secure Coding Standards so that customer data is protected to the best of our ability - Develop specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria as needed to flesh out the work we do and ensure clarity for stakeholders on what you and the team are delivering - Collaborating effectively with people across the company to ensure the successful transition of our services through the lifecycle and into production - Maintaining your skills as a top flight engineer by keeping them up to date with current standards and trends in the industry - Coaching and developing more junior staff to ensure all of our people develop professionally and technically, maintaining the high standards we have as a team - Supporting our Agile culture by taking responsibility for ceremonies and reporting alongside any other duties when needed You will have a good level of experience of a number of the following skills: - Building secure digital solutions using SSO and RESTful services - Applying excellent levels of code craft in your domain area - Unit testing, TDD - Version control, branching, merging, feature toggling (SVN, TFS and Git) - Build and deployment automation (TeamCity, Nexus and Octopus) - Building “cloud native” solutions in AWS or Azure - Working with matters of a confidential or sensitive nature (ISO27001, PCI, DPA, GDPR) - Flexibility in working on and understanding multiple systems and technologies. - Being a motivated team player that works effectively within an Agile environment. - Understanding business needs and translating them into robust, flexible and adaptable IT solutions. - Collaborating effectively with Service and Operations to transition services effectively into Live Areas of domain expertise we are looking for: Web Engineering - Experience working in an environment using UX, GA, A/B Testing and others - Good IX design skills, experience working with design agencies and graphics design tools (Adobe) - Excellent knowledge of core HTML and CSS, responsive design, SASS and other tools - JS dependency management and packaging: NPM, webpack, RequireJS, Grunt, Gulp, etc. - JQuery, Angular2, React and other Javascript development frameworks - SPA development with JSON and REST - HTTP(S), SSL and web security - IIS, Apache and Nginx, CDN, caching and performance tuning - Integration with 3rd party tools including CMS (EPiServer, Umbraco and others), Chat, CRM, etc Application and Integration Engineering - C#, COM , Visual Studio and the .Net framework - Winforms development - Working with XML, SOAP, JSON, RAML to create high performance and resilient webservices - ESB, WCF and ETL experience (Webmethods or Mulesoft a particular advantage) - SQLServer, Adabas or Oracle, ACID principles, SQL / T-SQL - Working with HTTPS and SSL in a SSO environment with OAuth2 and JWT - Experience working with Java, Spring, Tomcat, and Natural / NaturalOne - Experience working with SOLID, DRY principles - Working with design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, Application Service, Dependency Injection, DAO and others Standard company behaviours: Customer experience -
