The Company Our client is a highly successful Engineering company based in Northumberland. They are part of a global group, with an incredible and unprecedented multi-million-pound investment programme planned for their North East facility. They have an ongoing expansion plan with new machines being continuously installed as part of a modernisation process being implemented to embed the latest modern manufacturing tools, techniques and systems. The site is having the newest and industry leading manufacturing methods being developed. To support their on-going projects, they are now looking for a talented and highly motivated Equipment Engineer to support the business in developing their maintenance KPI’s, install, modify and improve equipment, focus on a number of CI projects for the site, deliver training, and strengthen all aspects of the facility. The Role Implement maintenance programs through KPIs Distinguish root cause of complex problems and identify a solution Identify critical spares and ensure the stock room is updated Install, modify and upgrade equipment Outsource and manage contractors in projects that need to be outsourced Review and improve current processes Improve manufacturing methods Communicate Continuous Improvement to staff Actively involved with New Product Introduction and SMED activities Implement and communicate 5s and workplace organisation Manage projects ensuring continuous improvement Improve process flow Deliver training and help promote best working practices The Person Must be degree educated in an engineering related discipline Understand electrical and mechanical principles Possess a suitable production/manufacturing/equipment engineering background. OEE Knowledge Able to deliver on a number of site improvement projects New product introduction experience Looking to work for a positive and highly progressive organisation, with huge opportunities to implement on-going improvements and to enjoy a varied, challenging and rewarding career.
