BUILDING CONTROL SURVEYOR Senior Officer Grade 1-2
(£26,470 - £30,756 per annum)
(Plus essential user car allowance)

We are looking for a suitably experienced individual to join our busy Building Control Team in the delivery of a high quality customer focused service.


You must have 5 GCSE's or equivalent, including Maths and English, plus a HNC or equivalent OR substantial experience in the building/construction industry.


It is very much a "hands on" role, so you should be ambitious and enjoy getting involved in all aspects of building control. Your caseload would involve an interesting mix of domestic, industrial and commercial projects; providing an excellent opportunity to develop your practical experience and skills.


We are looking for a resourceful, highly motivated individual who has an in depth experience of construction and an understanding of the Building Regulations and associated legislation.


You will have excellent written and verbal skills and be able to organise your own workload to meet agreed targets and objectives as well as being able to work under pressure to strict deadlines; having good problem solving, analytical and IT skills, work well as a team, have a commitment to providing a high standard of customer care, along with a self-motivated approach and first rate communication skills. Experience of working within a competitive environment would also be an advantage.


This position is a permanent, full-time contract of 37 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Basic Disclosure. Local Government Pension Scheme and Relocation Packages are available.
