Established in 1994, REACT Engineering Ltd is a well-respected project management and engineering consultancy based in West Cumbria. We have a strong track record in the UK nuclear decommissioning sector, in particular at Sellafield.

We are looking for a committed, empowered and technically capable project leader who is willing to take responsibility, challenge and innovate and who most importantly, shares our attitude, vision and values.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a track record in leading and managing complex projects in fields such as engineering, manufacturing, infrastructure, construction, industrial, logistics, security, health, I.T.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiate, lead, manage and take responsibility for the delivery of significant client projects and bids which have a high magnitude of complexity, opportunity and risk.

  • Act with a high degree of professionalism and embody REACTs culture and values in leading clients, staff and sub-contractors to deliver excellence in project outcomes and commercial success for our clients and our business.

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships based on successful delivery to generate long term sustainable commercial success for REACT.

  • Lead the development of project management competence within the organisation to contribute to achieving our vision.

DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

  • The successful candidate will take a lead role in the delivery of technically challenging, complex projects supported by an existing team of experienced project professionals.

  • We want our staff to take responsibility for and drive their own continued professional development. We will support the successful candidate through a combination of on the job training, offline coaching / mentoring and external courses and support.

  • We have ambitions to grow and diversify our business, hence there is a requirement for the successful candidate to be involved in driving this forward by supporting existing and new business ventures.

KEY ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Demonstrable ability to provide leadership and a high level of customer focus.

  • Technical and commercial experience in a project environment including proven ability in managing multi-discipline activities across project teams.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrated through client interaction, leading teams, supervision, proposals and presentations.

  • Proven ability to negotiate successfully with clients and contractors.

  • IT literate.

  • No previous nuclear industry experience required.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

Salary: Negotiable depending on capability / experience.

25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.

Payment of professional subscriptions.
