Senior Customer Support Engineer - Stockport - 35,000 plus bonus

ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Snr Customer Support Engineer to join our world leading manufacturing client based in Stockport, in Greater Manchester.


To provide technical product support relating to products to external customers.

To provide technical support of industry-led requirements for company products to internal teams.

Effective and coordinated new product introduction to customers.

Resolution of customer complaints for product related problems, including detailed investigation into the problems or causes of failures.

Efficient, timely resolution of customer queries via CRM and liaison with other resolver groups as needed.

Support of customer testing.

Proactive communication of industry, product and customer information to appropriate internal teams.


Customer Support:

* Provide expert support during the end-to-end testing and production integration phases for customers.

* Ensure availability of integration environments for customer integration exercises.

* Understand customer requirements and provide expert advice to appropriately tailor product solutions.

* Communicate customer requirements to Product Managers.

Product Performance:

* Monitor the performance of company products in use and provide feedback to Product Managers.

* Support the quality improvement process, by monitoring component and product quality, internally and externally.

* Utilise technical experience to identify product requirements and test processes.

* Technical problem solving and investigation of customer issues, using the Issue Tracking tool (CRM).

Product Testing:

* Review product test coverage in development, manufacture and refurbishment processes to ensure designated customer requirements are sufficiently covered.

* Report product status, risks and observations to Product Management to ensure appropriate course of action can be agreed.

Sales Support:

* Provide technical product support and training to sales teams.

* Manage demonstrations of company products.

Customer training:

* Prepare training material for company products.

* Present training sessions and demonstrations to customers.

Industry Interface:

* Ensure any industry requirements and changes that could have an impact on company products are clearly communicated to the relevant groups.

* Contribute knowledge and experience to product development.


* Strong cooperation and coordination with Program Management, Product Management and GRD teams

* Improve cooperation and coordination across sites (leverage synergies and best practices)

* Appropriate interfacing with quality management and process improvement (quality focus and continuous improvement)

Technical consultancy and support:

* Attendance at customer meetings and preparation of appropriate documentation and presentations.

* Contribute to the provision of technical documentation.
