HR & Business Support Assistant

Organisation: Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery Trust
Location: Carlisle
Salary: £16,889 - £17,656 (depending on experience). Permanent, Full time (37 hours)
Closing date: 21st November 2018

An exciting newly-created position for a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills and who will enjoy a varied role.

Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery Trust is a leading award-winning independent regional museum welcoming over 230,000 visitors every year. Our newly created Resources team takes in key areas of the business including Finance, HR, Health & Safety, IT, Buildings Management, Catering and our Commercial Hires business.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with strong organisation, administration and communication skills. You will be working in a key role as part of a busy team in an often fast paced environment, with a workload combining routine tasks and reactive responses to situations that arise.

The post would work alongside the Head of Finance and Resources and provide a high level of administration, primarily to support the HR and Finance functions of the organisation. The ideal candidate will therefore be a confident communicator, have an eye for detail and have a confidential approach to their work.

Purpose of the Role
Administer the recruitment, performance management, absence management and training needs of staff, supporting managers in adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
Communicate changes to policies and procedures effectively to managers and staff.
Create and maintain a central database of all service contracts, licences and subscriptions for the organisation.
Reconcile purchase invoices to purchase orders using the Sage 200 accounting system. Also raise sales invoices to send out to customers.
Update and maintain financial, HR and H&S records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy at all times.
Support the other functions within the Resources team as required.

Application Process
If you are inspired by the role and would like to apply for the position, please click on the application button below and return a completed application form to Katie Proud, Head of Finance & Resources, by 4pm on 21st November.

Interviews will be held at Tullie House Museum on Tuesday 4th December.
