Export Sales Manager – Lubrication – Global travel (1 in 4 weeks)
Job Summary
Reporting to the Global Sales and Marketing Manager, the Export Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and developing current export wholesale lubrication sales whilst also identifying and developing new business opportunities within a global marketplace, The position will require a proactive approach to maintaining excellent working relationship with established customers and finding new opportunities for growth.

Working for a leading UK based Lubrication manufacturer, you will be responsible for the export sales and growth of their global business. Selling products for industrial, automotive and specialist markets around the world, you will have excellent organisational skills and a high level of motivation to achieve the sales growth targets of the Company’s products.
Based within the UK, extensive overseas travel will be required in order to manage and develop the global sales base.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Experience of industrial, mechanical and plant engineering is desirable in order to identify new opportunities while being the primary point of call for your customers on application, technical or commercial matters. The successful applicant will join a small sales team within a privately-owned business, being one of the leading manufacturers in its market.
You will be able to identify and develop new business opportunities for wholesale accounts in different global markets, being a confident communicator at all levels with excellent commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills.
You will be able to demonstrate a proven successful track record in sales and business development and account management with experience or a working knowledge of engineering, automotive or manufacturing.
Full product training and personal skills development training is offered throughout your career. You will need a flexible approach to business travel and flexible hours of work when required. Coupled with excellent time management, organisational, reporting and CRM skills with the ability to work off your own initiative in addition to being a strong and effective team member.
Proficient user of MS Office (particularly Excel) Word, Power Point.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and develop existing and new worldwide customers through planned individual account support and being the first point of contact for those customers.
* Achieve the agreed sales targets and manage budgets on a quarter and annual basis.
* Identify and develop new wholesale accounts in all global markets.
* Maximise and develop to the full potential all export sales enquiries received and generated, responding by electronic media, telephone and planned personal visits.
* Identify and support customer’s requirements to include product training and new opportunities through establishing close working relationships.
* Maintaining customer records and planning effective and efficient overseas customer visits.
* Attend and participate in external and internal key development training modules in order to progress relevant knowledge and skills.
* Represent the company at overseas conferences and networking events where opportunities are identified.

* A driven and highly motivated personality capable of hunting for new business in addition to managing key accounts and ensuring excellent customer service is delivered.
* Proficient user of MS Office (particularly Excel) Word, Power Point, general internet.
* Good financial awareness, able to understand gross margin percentages and calculations, and capable of producing commercially acceptable quotations, proposals and reports.
