My client, a global biopharmaceutical organisation based in the North West of England, is looking to add 2 Sourcing Associates (procurement to their team. The role will include supporting procurement strategy development and leading procurement execution of sourcing projects.

The key responsibilities will include:

Procurement:
-Support procurement plans and assist in making decisions necessary to purchase goods and services in accordance with organizational objectives and sourcing strategies
-Provide internal and market analytics to support development of strategic category plans 
- Support and/or lead execution of procurement plans; role dependent on category and project complexity. 
- Assist/lead identification and screening/selection of potential sources. 
-Assist/lead in determining appropriate methods of procurement.  
-Lead preparation of competitive go-to-market events (solicitation of bids, quotations and proposals) with pertinent specifications, terms and conditions. Employ leading procurement practices.
-Assist/lead in evaluating competitive offerings to determine the overall best offer for goods or services 
-Prepare for and/or lead supplier negotiations depending on category complexity.  Evaluate competitive offerings and recommend overall best offer for a product or service.  As part of implementation, review product availability and/or pricing information with suppliers. 
-Assist in the preparation of and/or issue contracts for legal review and approval. Support design/development of procurement compliance programs.  Supports decision-making and process design to align practices with organizational objectives and sourcing strategies.  Maintains agreement files as required.
-Understands how to access and influence specifications as required for sourcing project
-Prepare periodic category/country performance reports for assigned categories.  Support budget management processes as required for category. 
-Support SRM purposes through required development and delivery of prioritized performance metrics.  Supports risk management efforts as required in category.
-Assists in resolving issues raised in purchasing audit reports.
-Review product availability and/or pricing information with suppliers
-Prepare periodic activity report

Relationships:
-Support development of internal and external relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams with regards to the following:
- Coordinate lists of recommended sources
-Coordinate supplier visits and evaluation
-Provide research and assistance in support of purchasing negotiations
- Understand and communicate Purchasing policies

Technology:
-Utilize BMS relevant systems; SAP & Ariba.
Supplier Management:
- Support management of compliance and non-compliance to the preferred supplier list
- Support management of internal and external relationships with suppliers, cross-functional and/or multi-functional teams with regard to the following:
- Utilize techniques such as supplier partnerships, strategic alliances, supply chain management and supplier training programs

The ideal candidate will hold an associate degree or equivalent and will have worked in procurement. You will also have worked with vendors, be proficient in Microsoft word, powerpoint and excel.
The ideal candidate will also be fluent in English and Spanish, Italian, German or French.
