Complex and Palliative Home Care Assistant Permanent, Full or part time roles available Rate of pay £8.00 per hour, plus 20p visitational payment What we do? At CASA we provide personalised support to people in their own homes, helping them to live independent and full filling lives. Working in the community provides you with a varied role, working with different groups of people including the elderly, children, people with mental health, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, complex needs or in need of palliative care. This enables every day to be different. What you would do? As a Complex and Palliative Home Care Assistant, you will spend your time out in the community visiting our service users with complex or palliative care needs, ensuring they are well looked after, safe and comfortable.The type of care and support that we offer varies depending on each customer’s needs. All our customer’s have a care plan in place for you to adhere to, however, please see below a list of potential tasks that you may be expected to carry out: Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting Administration of medication Preparation of meals and drinks Completion of domestic takes, including laundry, cleaning and shopping Assisting people to be independent within the community Who we are looking for? You would ideally have at least 6 months experience working within the care sector. You will have the ability and confidence to work unsupervised. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality. We are currently looking for staff in the following areas: NE1 - City Centre NE2 - Jesmond NE3 - Gosforth, Kenton, Fawdon NE4 - Elswick, Benwell, Fenham NE5 - Denton, Westerhope, Cowgate NE6 - Heaton, High Heaton, Walkergate, Walker, Byker NE8 - Gateshead NE15 - Lemington Each individual candidate’s availability will be taken into consideration; however, this will be decided on the services need.
