We are recruiting for a Children's Residential Support Worker to join a fantastic EBD bedded service. The role is based in Burnley. The role is based in Burnley and within easy commute of Blackburn, Preston and Rochdale.

Our client is looking for someone who is wanting a new team as they are setting up a new residential home. The residential home will be a transgender LGBT home for 4 children.

Our client is an established provider of Residential Childcare with a proven record of creating home environments that exceed children’s needs. They facilitate children in their care to express their characters, establish their independence and become their own person.

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be making a huge difference to lives of children who have suffered trauma and abuse.

The role as a Children's Residential Support Worker includes:

* Organising and accompanying the young people on social activities and appointments

* Helping the young people to over come difficulties or disadvantages holding them back from fulfilling their potential

* Recording the young persons activity & reporting key aspects of their care

* Promoting the young persons independence and developing their life skills

You must be at least 21 years of age and have the following to be a Children’s Residential Support Worker:

* Organising and accompanying the young people on social activities and appointments

* 6 months experience working with young people with challenging behaviour (Essential)

* Full driving license with access to own transport (Essential)

* Level 3 Children and Young People qualification (Essential)
