Transforming Care Services are currently recruiting on behalf of a social care provider who specialise in provider support services to vulnerable people with vary needs ranging from learning disabilities, mental health issues, physical disabilities and older people. My client offers residential, respite, residential, supported living and extra care services all over the country but are currently recruiting for their service in Morecambe.

The service in Morecambe is a 5 bedded property which will support adults with a learning disability, mental health issues and a forensic background. It offers bespoke 24-hour accommodation and will support the transition of individuals from low and medium secure settings.

My client is specifically looking for male support workers to work with a number of clients where a male support worker is required due to the risks and support needs posed by their clients. They are looking for support workers who are trustworthy, passionate, and have excellent interpersonal skills to support their clients and help them achieve independence. You will support the service users with daily living skills, personal care, social and leisure activities, supporting them emotionally and enabling them to establish relationships. You must have experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and complex needs and have your Level 2 qualification in health and social care - you will also be enrolled on your L3 after successful completion of your probation period. 25 hours per week ( 2nights) or you can do full time 37.5 hours (3 nights) worked on a waking night basis on a rolling rota so weekend work will be required. Salary up to £8.90ph depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates must be a car driver with a clean UK Driving license - you dont need a car as there is a pool car there to be used by the support workers.
