Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery Trust

Digital & Marketing Assistant

One of the top places to visit in Carlisle, Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery brings historic collections, contemporary art and family fun together and welcomes over 250,000 visitors each year.

We are seeking a new Digital and Marketing Assistant to assist the Marketing Co-ordinator to transform our marketing approach at Tullie House Museum by widening our audiences, increase visitor numbers and strengthening the brand throughout the city of Carlisle and beyond.

Tullie House was first opened as a museum, library and School of Art in 1893, but the site has been occupied by some of the citys richest families since the 17th century. Since then the museum has gone through many changes. Most significantly with a major expansion opened by the Queen in 1991, the opening of the Millennium Gallery and the Rotunda in 2001 and the redevelopment of the ground floor level in 2011 to become the popular Roman Frontier Gallery.

We look after a collection of national and international importance on behalf of the City of Carlisle. From armour belonging to the notorious Border Reivers; Roman finds from underneath the City, to stunning works by the Pre-Raphaelites; the Tullie House collection is remarkable in its breadth and depth.

In 2017 we were awarded Museum of the Year at the prestigious Cumbria Life Culture Awards and were awarded the Best Told Story Accolade by VisitEngland.
