ICT BUSINESS SYSTEM ANALYST V17

Based within the ICT Department, Penrith Headquarters
37 hours per week
Permanent
Salary - £24,813 - £26,535

The post holder under the direction of the ICT Service Manager will provide support for the effective delivery of policing services through the management, administration, development and exploitation of business systems, to provide high quality, customer focused services.

To identify and scope out areas of development including system changes, data quality and process improvement to maximise potential efficiency savings and other benefits to Cumbria Constabulary.

Are you a competent systems administrator working within a fast-paced environment? If so our current vacancy of ICT Business Systems Analyst may be an opportunity for you to progress in your ICT career.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the ICT department working mainly from of our headquarters in Penrith. This is a small and dynamic team involving testing, implementing and maintaining our core ICT business applications, and providing ICT support on a day-to-day basis.

What can you expect from this role?
Cumbria Constabulary follow the ITIL processes for incident and problem management including service requests.
You will work with the internal ICT department, business experts and external suppliers to meet business needs.
You will coordinate and monitor troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; document system events to ensure continuous functioning of applications, recommending courses of action and implement as approved.
You will coordinate software upgrades in accordance with user requirements to ensure business benefits are achieved. Managing testing, upgrades and configuration of system services, ensuring changes are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures.
You will utilise standard corporate tools to record change and problem activities for tracking purposes.

What do I need to apply?
Good organisational / communications skills and time management are essential.
Educated to A level or equivalent.
Recognised qualification or training in project management or in a core project delivery skill, such as Change Management or Business Analysis.
