TRUSTEES

The Glenmore Trust is an Industrial and Provident Society which for the last 30 years has worked with people with a Learning Disability, Mental Health and individuals with other associated conditions.
We are seeking Trustees to join our Management Committee and support the leadership of our organisation. If you share our passion and have the required skills and experience, we would very much like to hear from you.

Our Management Committee is made up of six to twelve Trustees, who work together to ensure the charity is run to a very high standard. As a Trustee you will be expected to support our strategic objectives, make decisions about what the charity will do, and oversee its finances.


Trustees meet approximately five times throughout the year and may be asked to commit to meetings to follow up on actions, provide advice, and input into areas of work relevant to their areas of expertise. Key Trustee responsibilities are:

* Board Leadership: Trustees have responsibility for directing the affairs of Glenmore Trust ensuring it is solvent, well-run, and delivering the outcomes for which it has been set up.
* Social Impact:  Trustees ensure that the organisation is carrying out its purpose for the clients we support; addressing social need to the best of its abilities.
* Strategic Role: Trustees focus on the strategic direction of Glenmore Trust, and avoid becoming involved in day-to-day operational decisions and matters.
*  Compliance: Trustees ensure that Glenmore Trust complies with its own governing document, relevant laws, and the requirements of any regulatory bodies (including  CQC and the Charity Commission).
*  Internal controls: Trustees review Glenmore Trusts system of internal controls, performance reporting, policies and procedures and use results to inform positive change and innovation.
*  Managing risk: Trustees must act prudently to protect the assets and property of the organisation, and ensure that they are used to deliver the organisations objectives. During our current recruitment campaign we are particularly looking to diversify and strengthen our Board with the appointment of Trustees with experience, skills and knowledge in the following areas:
*Strategic Finance and Accountancy
*Leadership and Management
*Fundraising and Income Generation
*PR Professional / Marketing
